Classic tornadic supercell featuring amazing storm structure, wild cloud rotation, and an extremely photogenic long lived powerful tornado. Multi-vortex, cone, wedge like, this tornado put's it all on display while churning across north Texas! This dusty beast goes down in the books as a classic tornado event near Throckmorton, TX on April, 7th, 2002. The monster Texas twister lasted 16 minutes, tracked 7 miles, and grew to over 3/4 of a mile wide. Fortunately the tornado tracked over mainly open farmland causing limited damage and no injuries.
