Welcome to the Shady Rest Hotel, a lovely property of Kate Bradley, who is heartily welcoming all the tired travelers and wanderers. Mrs. Bradley has got three wonderful daughters – blonde Billie Jo, brunette Bobbie Jo, and redhead Betty Jo – who assist her with hotel management. The family lives quite peacefully, however, their restless Uncle Joe Carson constantly throws up some half-baked schemes on how to make their hotel a honey pot for the visitors.
The shows primarily aired on CBS between 1963 and 1970, counting the total of 246 episodes. Originally a black-and-white screening, the show has later become an example of color production. That change, however, did not affect the general ambiance of Petticoat Junction. To the contrary, with the video and audio rendition improved, this situation comedy gained even more appraisal from viewers.
