The Hunted is an original action/comedy series which has been described as a sword-slinging, vampire-slaying cross between "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" and "Cops". The show follows a misfit group of vampire slayers who have been bitten by vampires (but not yet turned), and their attempts to fight the bloodsuckers. The vampires, however, have developed an immunity to everything and the only way to kill them is with a sword. The series premiered in 2001, making it one of the longest running shows online. The show is also the first original series based on user content, meaning that virtually anyone anywhere can shoot an episode. Regular contests offer cash prizes and an opportunity to be seen by a panel of Hollywood judges. Several contest winners have also become "affiliates" who continue to develop content for the show. The show now has 4 affiliates across the country with over 100 episodes from around the world. The Hunted has developed an international fanbase over the years which was instrumental in financing a Feature Film version of the show through a successful Kickstarter campaign.
